Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. Smallholder producers grow most of the crop, often among “coffee forests”, and many heirloom varieties still thrive. In Yirgacheffe, high elevations of 1,800–2,200 metres and careful washed processing (Grade 2) create clarity and floral lift. As a result, you get a cup that feels refined yet vibrant.
This lot comes through the Kochere washing station, known for clean, expressive coffees. We roast these Ethiopian coffee beans lightly to keep fruit and florals front and centre while maintaining sweetness.
